SCOUTING THE GAELS
LAST TIME AGAINST THE GAELS (10/11/17 @ Iona)
A late goal by the Gaels proved to be the difference in the Bobcats 2-1 defeat to Iona last season. Iona struck first early in the first half, but an 85th minute equalizer from the Bobcats pushed the game to 1-1. Just five minutes later with 48.5 seconds left in regulation, Iona's Erica Flowers found the back of the net for the game winner. Al Pelletier (Cheshire, Connecticut) scored the lone goal for the Bobcats in last year's meeting.
GRUNSTEIN'S GIFT OF GIVING
Junior Ally Grunstein's three assists against Fairfield is only the ninth time since 2013 that a MAAC player has recorded three assists in a game. Quinnipiac has recorded four of those, including the last three times it has been done and Grunstein alone has done it twice. Grunstein's season total for assists is now four, which leads the team.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Bobcats are unbeaten in five of their last six MAAC home games dating back to last season. The lone loss came against reigning conference champion Monmouth last September.
CLEAN SHEET STREAK
The Bobcats have not conceded a goal in their last two games. After giving up a goal in the 19th minute in a win against NJIT, the Bobcats have gone 271 minutes without letting a ball touch the back of the net.
MYSZEWSKI'S BRICK WALL
Olivia Myszewski (Elm Grove, Wisconsin) was just named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for her shutout against Fairfield. She has been stellar in her last couple of appearances. Going back to the UMass Lowell matchup, she has not conceded a goal in 215:55. By earning her second consecutive clean sheet against Fairfield on Saturday, Myszewski moved into sixth place in Quinnipiac women's soccer history with 11 career clean sheets.
