Bobcats Primed to Make Mark in Third Meet of Season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Quinnipiac men's and women's cross country teams return to the course Friday afternoon with their third meet of the season as the Bobcats are set for the Battle in Beantown hosted by Boston College.
Both programs finished their second straight top-three finishes as the men's cross country team was third at the Siena Invitational on Sept. 8 while the women's cross country team was second.

- Michael Kiernan (Warwick, Rhode Island) came in second place overall for the Bobcats, the best individual finish by a Quinnipiac men's cross country runner since Brendan Copley '17 was second at the Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 16, 2016
- Tommy Consalvo finished 10th overall for the men, the second straight race that both him and Kiernan finished in the Top 10 individually
- Four men's runners (Ryan Ansel, Kiernan, Ben Lanza and Jeff Venter) all recorded their second-fastest 8K times at the Siena Invitational
- On the women's side, Kaitlin Bakas finished 10th overall and was just 0.6 seconds away from eighth place
- Eight different runners for the women's cross country team recorded personal records on the 5K course at Siena
- Women's cross country finished in the top three in five races over the past two seasons
- This is the first time in at least the past 10 years the Bobcats are competing in this race
