QU Women's Tennis Extends MAAC Win Streak with 6-1 Victory over Niagara

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. .- The Quinnipiac women's tennis team dropped the doubles point in a close battle but regrouped to sweep all six singles courts as the Bobcats extended their winning winning streak over MAAC opponents to 41 straight with a 6-1 win over Niagara on Saturday afternoon at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club.

- Freshman Dominique Vasile and junior Proyfon Lohaphaisan swept singles and doubles for the Bobcats, taking a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Vasile had a dominant performance in singles for the Bobcats, winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1.
- Lohaphaisan also took a straight set win at No. 5 singles, winning 6-3, 7-6 to provide the clinching point by putting the Bobcats ahead 4-1.
- Lohaphaisan also increased her career win total to 96 with the two wins.
- Junior Jennifer Lu also had a dominant showing in singles, winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 to improve her career win total to 95.
- Freshman Stephanie Yanosov was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 6 singles
- Freshman Payton Bradley put the Bobcats ahead 3-1 with a three-set win at No. 3 singles, winning 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
- Sophomore Layla Rodriguez came away with a three-set win at No. 4, including 11-9 in the third-set tiebreaker.
