MEDIA, Pennsylvania- The Quinnipiac men's tennis team picked up its third victory of the season with a 6-1 win over the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Friday, February 23, 2018. Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California) and Axel Stern (Tustin, California) each struck for victories in singles and doubles play.

NOTES:

Cachapero picked up a victory in No. 2 Doubles while paired with Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York), 6-4. The sophomore then won his No.4 Singles showdown in a tough battle 4-6, 7-6(8), 12-10 for his sixth singles victory of the season.
Stern won his No. 3 Doubles match while paired with Austin Yannone (Severna Park, Maryland), 6-4.
Stern then followed up his doubles victory with a 6-2, 6-3 victory in No. 5 Singles for his second victory of the day.
Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) obtained his team-leading 10th singles victory of the season with a 6-2, 6-3 victory in No. 1 Singles.
Freddie Zaretsky (Fair Lawn, New Jersey), who was named the MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on February 14th, struck for a win in No. 2 Singles, for his fifth victory of the year.
Hielke Moore (Fredericton, New Brunswick) picked up his eighth victory of the season with a win in No. 6 Singles.
