HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned its second straight non-conference win on Sunday afternoon, topping Maine by the final score of 58-50 on Lender Court at the People's United Center in Hamden.

Tyrese Williams (Beacon, N.Y.) led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds – both a career high for the freshman. The Bobcats shot 13-for-25 (52.0 percent) from the floor in the second half, nailing seven 3-pointers over the final 20 minutes.

Quinnipiac trailed 26-19 at halftime, then outscored the Black Bears 39-24 over the second half of action to earn the home win.

Quinnipiac went on a 14-4 run over 4:30 in the start of the second half. The Bobcats trailed by nine points in the start of the half, then took a 33-32 lead by the end of the run with 14:20 left in the half.
Tyrese Williams led the Bobcats in all four major statistical categories: points (19), rebounds (7), assists (3) and steals (2). The freshman scored 13 points in the second half alone, knocking down four shots from the floor in the final 20 minutes of play.
Aaron Robinson (Takoma Park, Md.) added 11 points, three rebounds and three assists in the win. The senior shot 3-of-5 from 3-point range, sparking the Bobcats off the bench. All 11 of Robinson's points came in the second half of play.
Cameron Young (Los Angeles, California) chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds, shooting 3-for-8 from the floor. Young has now tallied double-digit point totals in 31 straight games – the last time he scored less than 10 points came on Nov. 26, 2017 vs. Maine.
Jacob Rigoni (Adelaide, Australia) recorded 11 points, one rebounds and one assist in the win. Rigoni scored eight points in the second half alone, going3-for-5 from the floor.
Quinnipiac shot 19-for-45 (38.8 percent) from the field in total, going 13-for-25 in the second half of play (52.0 percent). The Bobcats made seven of 11 3-pointers on the day in the second half of play.
