Bobcats Conclude 2018 Season After Third Game Against Harvard
HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 3 seed Quinnipiac women's rugby team fell vs. No. 2 Harvard, 47-8, in the NIRA Semifinals on Friday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field on the campus of Dartmouth College.
Allison Koenig (Waukesha, Wisconsin) recorded her seventh try of the season for the Bobcats, whose 2018 season comes to an end with the loss.

- (Harvard 5, Quinnipiac 0) 5' – Harvard got on the board quickly, forcing a change of possession near the try zone before finding the try-line to give the Crimson a five-point lead. Jenny Kronish recorded the try for the Crimson.
- (Harvard 12, Quinnipiac 0) 9' – Caitlin Weigel extended Harvard's lead just over three minutes later, breaking off a long run on the near side for the try. The Crimson's conversion was successful, making it 12-0 less than 10 minutes in to the game.
- (Harvard 19, Quinnipiac 0) 13' – Delia Hellander scored Harvard's third try of the contest. The Bobcats were called for an offsides penalty, then Hellander scampered in to the try zone.
- (Harvard 19, Quinnipiac 3) 18' – Mckenna Haz (Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia) helped the Bobcats get on the board for their first three points of the contest, blasting one through the posts to cut the deficit to just 16 points. Quinnipiac applied pressure down the field, then elected for the drop kick for its first points of the afternoon.
- (Harvard 22, Quinnipiac 3) 26' – Kronish converted on a penalty kick in the 26th minute of action, as Crimson picked up three more points to make it 22-3 Harvard.
- (Harvard 22, Quinnipiac 8) 28' – Koenig scored the Bobcats' first try of the contest in the 28th minute of play, scampering to her right side and touching the ball down in the try zone to cut the deficit down to 14. The score is Koenig's seventh of the 2018 season.
- (Harvard 29, Quinnipiac 8) 39' – Kronish scored for Harvard just moments before halftime, then the Crimson's conversion was successful. The Crimson battled up the field methodically, then Kronish ran in for her second score of the day to give the Crimson a 21-point lead.
- Harvard 32, Quinnipiac 8) 46' – Harvard elected for a penalty kick to begin action in the second half, as Kronish converted on the chance to give the Crimson three more points.
- Harvard 35, Quinnipiac 8) 60' – Kronish blasted another penalty kick through the goal post later in the half to extend the Crimson lead to 27 points.
- Harvard 42, Quinnipiac 8) 64' – Susie Clements powered through a group of Quinnipiac tacklers just four minutes later for the try, then Kronish hit the conversion attempt off the upright and through to give Harvard 40 points for the game.
- (Harvard 47, Quinnipiac 8) 75' – Weigel made a long run up the center of the field for another try with less than five minutes to go, the final scoring play of the contest.
- Quinnipiac has reached the NIRA Semifinals in each of the last four seasons.
- Koenig's try is her seventh of the season, and third in the Bobcats' last two games of the season. The freshman scored twice in Quinnipiac's NIRA Quarterfinals win vs. Notre Dame College in Hamden. Koenig finishes the season with 35 points for the Bobcats.
- Mckenna Haz (Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia) nailed her first drop kick of the season in the first half, giving her a team-high 72 points in 2018.
