BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac volleyball team fell to the Canisius Golden Griffins in three straight sets on Sunday, Oct. 7. Freshman Maggie Baker tallied 12 kills to lead the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first set, Canisius gained a 15-8 lead over the Bobcats. Quinnipiac was able to cut the score to 17-13 in favor of the Golden Griffins, but Canisius closed out the first set, 25-15.
The second set was close between both teams as the Griffins led the Bobcats, 13-10. However, the Griffins would hold the lead for the rest of the set and go up, 2-0, on the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac came back in the third set to close Canisius' lead to, 15-14. The Griffins would hold on and kept the Bobcats at 19 points to take the third set, 25-19.

NOTES

Baker recorded 12 kills, hitting .241 in the loss.
Maria Pansari notched 30 assists.
Daniella Balsano and Morgan Sherwin each had 10 digs.
Canisius' Leah Simmons lead the team with 17 kills.
