Bobcats Celebrate Senior Day at Yale Women's Fall Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's golf had four different golfers shoot in the 70s on Sunday in the final round of the Yale Women's Fall Intercollegiate. The Bobcats' finished 10th out of 17 teams with a final score of 926 (+74). After the final round concluded, Quinnipiac honored its two seniors, Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) and Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia), in a senior day celebration.

NOTES

Kemmling concluded her career with the Bobcats strong, shooting a final round 75 (+4). Kemmling finished +19 for the tournament and was 37th place.
Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) stormed up the leaderboard on senior day, shooting a 75 (+4) to jump up nine spots on the player leaderboard and finished tied for 41st in the tournament.
Elena Ybarra (Madrid, Spain) hopped up two spots on the final day after shooting a 77 (+6) on Sunday. Ybarra's +26 for the tournament put her in a tie for 53rd.
Queenie Lai (Hong Kong, China) bounced back after struggling on Saturday to score a 77 (+6) in the final round of the tournament. The sophomore rose five spots with the strong outing to finish tied for 56th.
Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) followed up yesterday's performance by shooting an 80 on Sunday. She finished +21 for the tournament to tie for 41st.
Elena Lopez (Clarence, New York) competed as the Bobcats' individual golfer and scored a 72 (+1). Lopez skyrocketed up the leaderboard 11 spots to finish tied for 23rd.

UPCOMING EVENT
Quinnipiac hits the road next weekend with trip to Seekonk, Massachusetts, for the Brown Invitational at the Ledgemont Country Club. The Invitational will be played on October 14th and 15th.
