NIAGARA, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac volleyball team dropped a thrilling five-set match against Niagara on Saturday, Oct. 6. Morgan Sherwin led the Bobcats with 23 kills and Maria Pansari matched her season-high 60 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first set, Niagara opened up the scoring, but Quinnipiac came back to tie the set, 13-13. Niagara later took the first set 25-22.
The Bobcats were down 13-17 in the second set but came back to win, 25-19.
Quinnipiac opened the third set 5-1 after a Purple Eagle attacking error. Niagara came back to tie the set 5-5. Sherwin ended the set with a kill and the Bobcats took the third set 25-22.
Niagara was down 20-16 and came back to win the fourth set, 25-21.
The final set required extra points and the scoring went back and forth between the two teams. In the end, Niagara secured the final set, 18-16.

NOTES

Miller (16 kills, 20 digs) and Sherwin (15 kills, 12 digs) both recorded a double-double in the loss for Quinnipiac.
The Bobcats recorded 64 total kills, which is the program's second-high total of the season.
Quinnipiac tallied 66 total digs, also good for second-most in a single contest this year.
