HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac volleyball team returns home after playing seven road matches in a row to face St. Peter's and Rider at Burt Kahn Court.
Scouting St. Peter's
The Peacocks hold the same MAAC record as the Bobcats at 3-8 and are 6-19 overall. Since Oct. 6, St. Peter's has gone 1-3 after recording a win against Canisius and three losses against Rider, Niagara and Iona. Alanis Alvarado leads the Peacocks on offense with 238 kills and averages 2.67 per set.
Notes on Rider
In the last four matches, Rider holds a 2-2 record after defeating St. Peter's and Niagara and losing to Coppin State and Canisius. Savannah Logan leads the Broncs with 177 kills and averages 2.95 per set. Rider is ranked second in the MAAC for team blocks per set with a 1.98 average.
Recapping the Bobcats' Sweep of Siena
Quinnipiac defeated the Siena Saints, 3-0, in a dominating win on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Kat Miller led the team with a season-high 18 kills and a season-high .500 hitting percentage. Her 18 kills tied her career high that she recorded in the MAAC Tournament in the 2017 season. The Bobcats played a solid defensive match by holding the Saints under 20 points through each set.
Looking at the MAAC
Iona extended its lead at the top of the MAAC with a 10-1 record. Marist sits in second with an 8-2 record. Fairfield, Canisius and Niagara makeup the rest of the top five. The bottom half of the standings include Rider, St. Peter's, Quinnipiac, Manhattan and Siena. The Iona Gaels lead the conference with an average of 14.23 kills per set, and Canisius leads with a .238 team hitting percentage. The Marist Red Foxes are averaging almost two blocks per set to lead the MAAC.

Gabby Horman is ranked fourth in the MAAC with 61 total blocks and is ranked seventh overall with 0.86 blocks per set. Miller jumps to second in conference with 293.5 points recorded this season. Morgan Sherwin ranks right behind Miller with 265.5 points. Pansari improves to second overall in conference with 748 assists on the season.
Pansari Hits 3,000
Pansari has recorded 3,054 assists in her three-year career as a Bobcat. She currently ranks third on the program's all-time career assists list. Kayla Lawler '12 stands in second with 3,431 career assists and Jen McClain holds the top spot with 4,519 assists.
Miller Time
Kat Miller tied her career-high in kills against Siena with 18 and looks to continue with her momentum through the rest of the season. She now has 1,075 digs on her career, which moves her to the fourth spot on the all-time career records list. On the serve, Miller has recorded 38 aces, averaging 0.47 per set, which leads the MAAC and is ranked 16th in the country.
