Bobcats Fall to Old Dominion, 3-0, in Final Home Game of 2018 Season

HAMDEN, Conn. –.Quinnipiac field hockey wrapped up its 2018 home slate with a BIG EAST matchup against the No. 25 Old Dominion Monarchs, falling 3-0 Friday afternoon.

Prior to the beginning of the game, the Bobcats honored their five seniors: Rachel Hamm (Collegeville, Pennsylvania), Elisa Ruiz Martinez (Madrid, Spain), Bianka Strubbe (Wroclaw, Poland), Hannah Teicher (Bethesda, Maryland) and Anna Walmsley (Glasgow, Scotland)

SCORING SUMMARY

4:46 (Quinnipiac 0, ODU 1): Rebecca Birch found the back of the cage for the first goal of the game, giving Old Dominion the 1-0 lead. The goal was the junior's first goal of the 2018 season.
9:20 (Quinnipiac 0, Old Dominion 2): The Monarchs struck again a pinch under five minutes later when Ilse Westera scored for Old Dominion, giving the Monarchs a 2-0 lead.
41:07 (Quinnipiac 0, Old Dominion 3): Old Dominion pushed its lead to three six minutes into the second half. Riley Taylor received a pass from Rebecca Birch and scored her second golf 2018.
