LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac Bobcats defeated the Siena Saints, 3-0, on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Kat Miller led the team with a season-high 18 kills and a .500 hitting percentage.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Set: The Bobcats came back to take the lead in the first set, 12-10, after a kill from Morgan Sherwin. Quinnipiac would extend the lead to 16-11 after a bad set by Siena. Kat Miller gave the Bobcats an eight-point lead with a kill to make the score, 19-11. The Bobcats would close the first set on a 5-0 run to win, 25-15.

Second Set: Miller had two kills in the first six points to give the Bobcats a 6-5 lead. Siena fell behind seven points after an attacking error. Miller would extend the lead to nine points after a kill taking the score to 21-12. The Bobcats won the set with an ace and held the Saints to 16 points.

Third Set: The Bobcats came out firing in the third set, opening the scoring on a 7-0 run. Miller would take the lead to 10-2 after a kill. Kaleigh Oates and Sherwin added kills of their own to take the score to 12-2. Maggie Baker extended the lead to 16-4 after a kill. Quinnipiac would lead the rest of the set and hold Siena to just 10 points. The Bobcats took the third set, 25-10, and the match, 3-0.

NOTES

Kat Miller's 18 kills ties her career-high, which she hit last year at the MAAC Tournament against Iona.
Morgan Sherwin had a stellar night on the offense with 14 kills, hitting .565.
Maria Pansari tallied 36 assists in the win.
Alejandra Rodriguez had 12 digs at libero.
Kaleigh Oates went 4-5 with a .800 percentage.
