Quinnipiac opened up its season with a 42-22 win over Army West Point. It was the Bobcats' first ever game at their new field on Quinnipiac's Mount Carmel campus.
- In addition to scoring the Bobcats first points of the year, sophomore Mikah Maples (Mowequa, Illinois) tallied three tries throughout the match.
- All-American senior IIona Maher (Burlington, Vermont) also had three tries and added three assists during the contest.
- After falling behind 7-5, Quinnipiac outscored Army 37-3 over a span of 60 minutes to take a 42-10 lead, before the Black Knights ended the drought with just under 10 minutes left.
- The Bobcats last faced the Big Green in 2015, taking home a 43-5 victory.
- Junior Emily Roskopf (Dublin, California) had three tries and tallied her first career assist.
- Seniors Karee Helgerson (Portland, Oregon) and Flora Poole (Christchurch, New Zealand) added their first career tries.
- The Big Green come into the match 0-0, though they defeated Penn State 46-17 in a scrimmage last week.
