QU Men's Tennis Completes First Day of Competition at UConn Invitational

STORRS, Connecticut –The Quinnipiac University men's tennis team completed the first day of the UConn Invitational on Friday, September 15. The Bobcats' first day was complete-team effort as they tallied up seven wins on the first day of competition.

- The Bobcats won all of their first-round matchups played on Friday
- Jackson Koke (Calgary, Alberta), Hielke Moore (Fredericton, New Brunswick) and Axel Stern (Tustin, California) led the Bobcats with two wins on Friday.The three each had a win in singles play and a win in doubles
- Moore and Brendan Wright (Oslo, Norway) both picked up their first-career wins for Quinnipiac today
- Moore paired up with Austin Yannone (Severna Park, Maryland) for a 6-2 victory over UConn before losing to Boston University in the semifinals
- Wright teamed with Koke to defeat Sacred Heart 6-3 in the opening round before dropping one to UConn 6-2
