The Quinnipiac University women's golf team will travel to Athens, Georgia to compete in the 2017 NCAA Tournament Athens Regional. The Bobcats will compete on May 8-10, 2017 at the University of Georgia Golf Course.

- The University of Georgia Golf Course opened in 1968 with the purpose of supporting the university community and a collegiate golf program. Over the years the course has become an important recreation facility not only for the University, but for the state of Georgia as a whole.
- Over its history, the golf course hosted a number of different tournaments including the annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, the PGA Junior Championship, the Men's and Women's SEC Championships, Men's and Women's NCAA Regionals, as well as the women's collegiate national championships five times â€" the 1971 Division of Girls' and Women's Sports (DGWS) Intercollegiate Championships, the 1981 Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) Championships and the 1983, 1993 and 2013 NCAA Championships.

- Currently in its seventh year of existence, Quinnipiac women's golf was first sponsored as a varsity sport in 2010-11.
- 2016 and 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Champions
- Since joining the MAAC for competition in 2013-14, Quinnipiac has captured three MAAC Rookie of the Year Awards: Nicole Scola (2014), Luciana Tobia-Palza (2016) and Alexandra Sazhin (2017)
- Luciana Tobia-Palza was also the first Quinnipiac women's golfer to win a MAAC Player of the Year honor after placing first in the 2016 MAAC Championship; Alexandra Sazhin also accomplished the same feat in 2017
- Six Quinnipiac student-athletes have earned 10 MAAC First Team awards in four seasons in the conference: Nicole Scola (2014, 2015), Taylor Lambrou (2015, 2016), Julia Kemmling (2016, 2017) and Luciana Tobia-Palza (2016, 2017), Alexandra Sazhin (2017), Estefania Morales (2017)
- Quinnipiac's 933 at the 2016 MAAC Championship was a MAAC Tournament record, set by Albany in 2015.
- Quinnipiac has won three MAAC Golfer of the Week awards this season: Luciana Tobia-Palza on Mar. 22, 2017 and Apr. 19, 2007; and Alexandra Sazhin on Apr. 5, 2017.
- Quinnipiac's ranking of 209 is the highest in the MAAC and the highest ranking in program history.
- Head coach John O'Connor won the 2017 and 2016 MAAC Coach of the Year award. This year was his fourth award all-time after also earning the Northeast Conference honor in 2012.

The Bobcats In The NCAA Tournament
- Quinnipiac's trip to Athens, Georgia will mark the second time in as many seasons that the Bobcats will compete in the NCAA Tournament.
- Nicola Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island) led the Bobcats for the tournament. Scola completed the tournament as the Bobcats' leader with a 243 (+27). Scale opened the tournament with an 81 on Thursday, followed by a 77 on Friday and finally, an 85 (+13) for the final round on Saturday.
- Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) led Quinnipiac for the final round of play.Kemmling led Quinnipiac after the first round of the tournament, carding a 79 (+7) before following with an 82 (+10) on Friday and an 83 (+11) on Saturday for a combined score of 244 (+28) for the three-day tournament.
- Senior Taylor Lambrou (Baldwin, New York), who was playing the final round of her four-year collegiate career, finished with an 85 (+13) for the final round. Lambrou was solid through the first nine holes of the day at four-over, before shooting nine-over down the stretch. Saturday's score gave her a 244 (+28) for the tournament.

- Shot a season-best 72 for the third round of the Spring Break Shoot-out, where she also tallied a season-best 54-hole score of 238
- Shot 80 or lower in six of her last eight rounds
- Her second-place finish at the Hartford Women's Invitational was her top finish of the season

- Her top 18-hole score of 76 came on the first round of the Dartmouth Invitational
- She also tallied a season-best 36-hole score of 157 at the Dartmouth Invitaitonal

- Second on the team with a 79.57 average
- Posted a record of 421-170 (.689) against the field for the year
- In nine events, she finished in the Top 10 four times with two Top 5 finish, including a first-place finish at MAAC Championship
- Has shot 80 or lower in 10 of her last 11 18-hole rounds
- Her season-best round of 73 came in the second round of the MAAC Championship
- Her top 54-hole score of 231 came at the MAAC Championship
