QU Women's Golf Completes Final Round Of NCAA Athens Regional

ATHENS, Georgia - Quinnipiac women's golf sophomore Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) and freshman Alexandra Sazhin (New Fairfield, Connecticut) finished with an 81 (+9) for the third round and 243 (+27) for the three-round NCAA Athens Regional.
Tobia-Palza finished the front nine at six-over, which was plagued by a triple bogey on the 16th hole. After bogeys on the 17th and 18th, Tobia-Palza settled in to shot three-over for the front nine and shot par on six of her final nine holes. Sazhin opened the day even through the first three holes and capped off the back nine with a birdie on the 18th hole. On the front nine, she shot five-over to finish at nine-over for the day.
Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) finished at 244 (+28) for the week, highlighted by a three-over 75 on Tuesday, May 9 for the second round. On Wednesday, Kemmling finished with an 85 (+13) after opening with four-straight pars before she bogeyed the next 13 holes.
Estefania Morales (Caracas, Venezuela) shot seven-over for the back nine before rebounding at the turn. Morales shot par on six of her next seven holes to sit at one-over for the front nine heading into the 17th hole. She bogeyed her final two holes of the day but matched Tobia-Palza's three-over on the front nine for the Bobcats' top score on the course's first nine holes.
Quinnipiac senior Nicole Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island), playing in her final collegiate event of her career withdrew with an injury.
