The Quinnipiac rugby team will begin postseason play when it welcomes the No. 6 seeded Norwich Cadets to Hamden for the NIRA Quarterfinals on Saturday at 11 AM. The winner of this match will take on the #3 Central Washington University in the semifinals. Quinnipiac was selected by the NIRA to host the semifinals and finals of this year's tournament.

- Sophomore Mikah Maples (Mowequa, Illinois) tallied a try and an assist in the match.
- Freshman Grace Martin (Pleasanton, California) scored her first career try as a Bobcat.
- Freshmen Destiny Henry (Athens, Tennessee) and Carson Hann (Denver, Colorado) had combined assists.
- Senior Margaret Wesolowski (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) was 7-for-11 on conversion attempts.
- Senior Flora Poole (Christchurch, New Zealand) collected five assists through the match.
- The match marked Quinnipiac's fifth straight win against AIC, dating back to the 2015 season.
LAST TIME FACING NORWICH
The Bobcats last faced Norwich on September 16, 2017, coming away with a dominant 52-7 victory.
- Freshman Layla Scott (Oakland, California) tallied three tries throughout the day. Her first try of the first half was the first ever of her collegiate career. It was also her first ever three-try day.
- Margaret Wesolowski collected two tries in the second half. Her second try came just three minutes after her first. She had one assist, too.
- Ilona Maher added two tries of her own against her former school, bringing her season total to five. She also recorded two assists.
- The senior duo of Flora Poole and Rebecca Haight each recorded tries. Poole tallied three assists.
- With nine minutes left in the match, junior Emily Roskopf (Dublin, California) converted a try.
- Mikah Maples and Tayler Schussler each recorded one assist.
BOBCAT RECORD NOTES
- After the Bobcats season-ending win over AIC, senior Ilona Maher became the program's all-time leader in ROTS with 57. She broke a record previously held by Natalie Kosko.
- Maher is three SAT's away from Elisa Cuellar's all-time record of 12.
- Junior Emily Roskopf is now right behind Maher for second place on all-time in ROTS with 52.
- Senior Jessica Maricich (Lansing, Illinois) is four solo tackles away from becoming the first ever Bobcat to hit the 200 mark. If she accomplishes the feat, she'll have done so in just three seasons.
- Maricich is also just five assisted tackles away from taking the top spot for the all-time assisted tackle record.
- Senior Flora Poole sits five assists away from the program's season assist record, with 16 under her belt. She's behind Elena Orlando and Ilona Maher, who share the top spot with 21.
NORWICH NOTES
- The Cadets are coming into the playoffs on a four-game win streak, outscoring opponents 221-34 in that span.
- Norwich is coming off a 34-5 victory over Castleton.
- The team did not qualify for the NIRA playoffs last season.
- Junior Sheila Decker recently picked up five tries and six conversions en route to a 79-5 victory over Mount St. Mary's.
- Sophomore Caitlin Heale added three tries and two conversions in the same match.
