THEIR LAST TIME OUT
Quinnipiac swept its season series with Army, defeating the Black Knights, 62-5, on the road last Saturday.
- Quinnipiac captured its sixth straight win against Army. The team defeated the Black Knights in the season opener, 42-22.
- Senior Ilona Maher (Burlington, Vermont) notched three tries in the match, while sophomore Mikah Maples (Mowequa, Illionois) collected two tries.
- Maher also contributed three assists in the match.
- Seniors Margaret Wesolowski (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), Flora Poole (Christchurch, New Zealand) and Rebecca Haight (Oconomowoc, Wisconsin) each added tries.
- In addition to her try, Wesolowski was 6-for-10 on conversions.
- Freshman Carson Hann (Denver, Colorado) tallied her first career try. Another freshman, Layla Scott (Oakland, California), also added a try.
- After leading 24-5 into halftime, the Bobcats outscored Army 38-0 in the second half.
- The five points the Bobcats allowed is a season low. The previous low came when Quinnipiac held Norwich to seven points.
RECORD NOTES
- Ilona Maher is now the program's all-time leader in runs over 20 yards. The senior now has 53 in her career.
- Maher is just three SAT's (steals at the tackle) away from Elisa Cuellar's all-time record of 12. Maher currently sits at nine.
- Senior Flora Poole (Christchurch, New Zealand) is three assists from passing Mason Johnson's second place spot of 34. Poole currently has 32 career assists.
- With a 44 career assisted tackles, Senior Jessica Maricich (Lansing, Illinois) is just five away from claiming second all-time in the program. Second place is currently held by Shannon Durkin, who has 48.
LAST TIME FACING CENTRAL WASHINGTON
Quinnipiac fell to the NIRA rival in a close match by a score of 31-22.
- Flora Poole tallied a try off of a 100-yard run up the left side.
- Central Washington's lead was brought to 24-17 after a try from junior Emily Roskopf (Dublin, California), who was able to get loose up the right sideline.
- The match marked Quinnipiac's fifth loss in the past three years. Through this span, the Bobcats have gone 26-5.
CENTRAL WASHINGTON NOTES
- The Wildcats currently hold a record of 2-2, with a NIRA record of 1-0.
- Suiluana A'au, Jaida Kafovalu, Emma Leonard and Michel Navarro all tallied tries in Central Washington's win over Quinnipiac.
