
QU Rugby Sweeps Season Series from Army West Point with 62-5 Road Win

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac women's rugby team scored twice in the first six minutes and went on to capture a dominant 62-5 road win over Army West Point on Friday evening at the Anderson Rugby Complex, completing a season sweep of the Black Knights.

Quinnipiac returns home next weekend to face Central Washington for an 11 a.m. contest on Sunday at Quinnipiac Rugby Field. - Quinnipiac picked up its sixth straight win in the series with Army, including two meetings this season. The Bobcats defeated the Black Knights on opening day in Hamden 42-22
- During its current six-match win streak in the series, the Bobcats have defeated Army twice in the postseason, including the 2015 national championship (22-19), their first of two straight titles, and the 2016 semifinals at Army (65-8).
