THE BOBCATS' LAST TIME OUT
On Friday, Sept. 23, Quinnipiac lost to Liberty, 6-1, in a match-up of the BIG EAST's newest members in Lynchburg, Virginia.
ALL-TIME AGAINST VILLANOVA
Quinnipiac and Villanova have met twice all-time, with both teams claiming a victory. Villanova won the first game, 5-2 in Hempstead, New York on Sept. 3, 2006 before the Bobcats pulled even with the Wildcats in the all-time series with a 4-2 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. In that game, current Bobcats' Dayna Barlow (Port Elizabeth, South Africa) and Savanna Reilly (Hamden, Connecticut) both scored while Lea Dietrichs two second-half goals were the difference.
SCOUTING THE VILLANOVA WILDCATS
Through their first 10 games of the season, Villanova currently sits at 2-8 overall, including an 0-2 mark in BIG EAST Conference play. The Wildcats opened the season with seven-straight losses, but have won two of their last three games including a 5-3 victory at home against Ohio and a 3-0 win against Towson.

Quinnipiac and Hofstra have played each other 12 times since their first match-up on Sept. 21, 1998 with the Pride holding a 9-3 advantage.
SCOUTING THE HOFSTRA PRIDE
Hofstra opened the season with two wins in its first six games (2-4) but have rattled off four-straight wins to improve to 6-4 on the season. In that run, the Pride have outscored their opposition, 16-7.

- Francesco Bello currently leads Villanova in goals (6), assists (5) and points (17). Bello has four goals in her last three games including a hat trick against Ohio State. Bello has also dished out four assists over the last five games to give her 14 of her 17 points for the year in that span.
- Kristen Mericle has scored four goals and assisted on four more for 12 points to give the Wildcats a pair of double-digit scorers.
- In goal, Erika Miller has played all but 62 minutes in 10 games this season and carries a 2-8 record with a .653 save percentage and a 3.62 goals-against average.

- Claudia Marin Samper has scored in four of Hofstra's last five games and has totaled seven goals and four assists for 18 points in that span. For the year, Marin Samper leads Hofstra in goals (10), assists (8) and points (28). She is currently riding a seven-game point streak.
- Stella Schoen currently owns a six-game point streak in which she has accumulated five goals and three assists for 13 points. For the year, she has totaled seven goals and five assists for 19 points.
- Emily Gallagher has scored in three-consecutive games and enters the weekend with four goals for the year.
- In goal, Lauren Saltus has started the last three games. For the year, she is 5-1 with a .815 save percentage and a 1.60 goals-against average.
BOBCAT NOTES
- Seven different Bobcats have accounted for Quinnipiac's 13 goals to date.
- Three of those seven have scored multiple goals (Reilly, 5; Costanzo, Federico, 2)
- Savanna Reilly currently leads Quinnipiac in goals (5) and points (11).
- Reilly posted a four-game goal streak from Aug. 28 through Sept. 9.
- Among the BIG EAST stat leaders, Reilly is currently tied for seventh in goals (5), eighth in goals per game (0.56), tied for eight in points (11) and 10th in points per game (1.22).
- Quinnipiac currently leads the BIG EAST, and ranks second nationally, with 10 defensive saves
- Angie King (South Windsor, Connecticut) currently leads all NCAA Division I field hockey players with seven defensive saves.
- Among the BIG EAST stat leaders, Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Golini (York, Maine) ranks sixth in saves (40), fifth in saves per game (4.44), fourth in goals-against average (2.62) and sixth in save percentage (.656).
- Lauren Belskie's (Hillsborogh, New Jersey) goal against Liberty was her first of the season and fourth of her career. It was also Quinnipiac's first goal of the season off of a corner.
- In BIG EAST Conference games ONLY, Michelle Federico (Cheshire, Connecticut) is one of eight players to score multiple goals against conference opponents this season. Federico scored twice in the Bobcats' 4-2 win against Georgetown on Sept. 16, 2016.
- Federico's two-goal game was the first multiple-goal game in BIG EAST play among the conference's eight members.
