
Jennifer Salomon ‘15 set to Participate in Rugby Barbados World 7s Tournament

HAMDEN, Connecticut – Former Quinnipiac women's rugby player Jennifer Salomon '15 will be participating in the FLOW Rugby Barbados World 7s tournament with Northeast Academy on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11.
The Rugby Barbados World 7s is the latest edition of the longest running Club Rugby Sevens tournament in the Caribbean. It was previously known as the Tobago 7s and will be hosted in Barbados for the first time this year.
Salomon, who is also a first-year graduate assistant coach for the Sacred Heart University women's rugby team, will travel and participate in the prestigious tournament with Northeast Academy. Northeast Academy is a National Development Academy that has been sanctioned by USA Rugby as the official Academy for men and women in the Northeast of America and as a designated pathway to the USA Eagles National Team selection.
Salomon joined the Bobcats as a freshman back in 2011, which was the inaugural varsity season for the Quinnipiac women's rugby program. During her four years as a member of the team, Salomon appeared in 40 games, recording five tries, 12 assists and 54 tackles. Salomon also had the honor of serving as team-captain during her tenure.
