HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's tennis senior Jacqueline Raynor has been named the MAAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the third time this season and the ECAC Player of the Week for the second time, as announced by the league offices on April 15, 2015.
Quinnipiac Bobcats swept the weekly awards as Jonas Kuwert won the MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week and ECAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, as well.
Raynor marks the fourth week out of the last five weeks that a Bobcat has won the MAAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as she won the award on March 18 and April 1. Fellow Bobcat Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) was the other Quinnipiac weekly award winner on March 25.
Raynor was also named ECAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week once earlier this season on April 1.
During the week, Raynor went a perfect 6-0 as she extended her winning streak to 14 consecutive individual matches. Raynor also moved into a tied for second all-time in program history with 159 wins. After the week, Raynor picked up her 38th win of the season as she improved to 24-6 in doubles play and 14-7 in singles.
Raynor went 4-0 in conference matches as the Bobcats swept the Rider Broncs and Siena Saints over the weekend as the Bobcats remained unbeaten in conference play at 5-0.
After the week, Raynor took over sole possession of second place with 160 career wins after she picked up a win in Quinnipiac's 6-1 loss to Stony Brook on Tuesday. The Bobcats have a quick turnaround as they return to the courts on Wednesday at 3 P.M. when they face the Marist Red Foxes at 3 P.M.
