
QU Women's Golf Finishes Tied For Third At St. John's Invitational

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, New York – The Quinnipiac University women's golf team finished tied for third at the St. John's Invitational at The Saint Andrews Golf Course in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. Hofstra won the event by a stroke against St. John's.
The Bobcats finished even with Sacred Heart for third place, two strokes behind St. John's and three strokes behind Hofstra. Hartford and St. Francis Brooklyn filled in the remaining two spots in the six-team field.
Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) logged her highest finish in her young career as she moved from a tie for fifth place after Monday's round to fourth place after the final 18 holes. Kemmling matched her first round score with an identical 80 on the final round, runner her streak of scores 81 or better to eight consecutive rounds and 11 of her last 12.
Luciana Tobia (La Paz, Bolivia) finished in seventh place after following her first-day 77 with an 86 for the second round. Taylor Lambrou (Baldwin, New York) – who entered the tournament as an individual – matched her first day total with an 82 for the second round to finish tied for eighth.
The Bobcats' round at the St. John's Invitational on Tuesday was its final round of the fall season. The Bobcats now sit idle until their spring season opens in 2016.
