The 5th Annual Quinnipiac Classic Tournament Field
The largest field in Quinnipiac Classic history falls on New Haven Country Club on Oct. 12-13. The Bobcats welcome University of Albany, Central Connecticut State University, Delaware State University, Fairfield University, University of Hartford, Hofstra University, Monmouth University, Sacred Heart University and Saint Francis Brooklyn College.
New Haven Country Club
New Haven Country Club, located in Hamden, Connecticut, is a 5,896 yard, Par 72 course. New Haven Country Club was founding in 1898 as one of the very early golf courses built in the University States. By 1920, it was decided that the golf course itself could benefit from a redesign. Two-time British Champion, Willie Park, Jr. was selected as architect. This became one of the most significant and auspicious decisions in the club's history. Park designed a total of 114 courses around the world, but only personally supervised construction on a handful. NHCC was fortunate enough to be one of them, and Park's passion for putting inspired NHCC's famously rolling and difficult greens.
