Women's Tennis Falls To Stony Brook, 7-0, On Senior Day

HAMDEN, Conn. - Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) and Juliet Labarthe (Oklahoma City, Okla.) earned a victory at No. 2 doubles, but the Quinnipiac University women's tennis team was defeated by Stony Brook, 7-0, Sunday afternoon on the Quinnipiac Outdoor Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 9-8, while the Seawolves improve to 9-3.
Viebrock and Labarthe defeated Fanny Charliquart and Gayatri Krishnan, 8-7 (7-2), at No. 2 doubles, but the Seawolves took wins at Nos. 1 and 3 to win the doubles point. Stony Brook then went on to straight-sets victories in all six singles flights.
The
Bobcats return to action Friday, when they travel to Fairfield,
Conn., to take on intrastate NEC foe Sacred Heart. First serve is
scheduled for 2 p.m.
