
Men's Tennis Outlasts Oklahoma Baptist, 4-3

ORLANDO,
Fla. - Alex Lazerowich (Stratham, N.H.) earned a double win as the
Quinnipiac University men's tennis team outlasted Oklahoma Baptist,
4-3, in a match that lasted nearly five hours and ended after 11
p.m. (ET). With the win, the Bobcats improve to 4-6, while the
Bison fall to 1-3.
The Bobcats conclude spring break action in Orlando Thursday morning, when they face Siena. First serve is scheduled for 8 a.m.
Lazerowich paired with James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) to defeat Gonzalo Garzon and Michael Canavan, 8-4, at No. 1 doubles, before getting past Canavan, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1, at No. 3 singles.
The Bobcats took the doubles point as Andrew Weeden (Martinsville, N.J.) and Chris Nelson (Scituate, Mass.) defeated Dario Macanovic and Francisco Da Silva, 9-7, at No. 2.
Quinnipiac also claimed singles victories at Nos. 4 and 6 to clinch the match. Dillon Kraus (Bayside, N.Y.) defeated Da Silva, 6-0, 7-5, at No. 4, while Micah Bailey (Miami, Fla.) edged Tucker Olsen, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 6.
