HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling team travels to Azusa, Calif. this weekend to face National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association opponents No. 6 Azusa Pacific, No. 4 Baylor, and No. 5 Fairmont State on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
"I am hoping the team can adjust to some necessary strategy to raise our difficulty values, especially in the basket toss and pyramid rounds," said Head Coach Mary Ann Powers. "I have asked a lot from freshman, Trisha Pierce (Middletown, Pa.), who will have significant presence in every round of play. Junior captain, Erin Trotman (Bristol, Conn.), continues to raise the bar in both our pyramid and tumbling events. She has added difficulty to both her standing and running tumbling passes. Erin is relentless in finding ways to contribute to our overall score, whether in individual heats or the team routine."
