
Men's Tennis Defeated By Stony Brook, 7-0

STONY BROOK, N.Y. The Quinnipiac men's tennis team was defeated, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at Stony Brook. Joe Nuara (Little Silver, N.J.) had the most singles success for the Bobcats, taking Alex Markovich to a third set, before falling. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 5-9.
Brian Mikkelson (Mequon, Wis.) and Sean Pease (Falmouth, Mass.) fell to Artem Baradach and Markovich, 8-6, in the tightest of the doubles matches. The Seawolves took all three contests.
In singles, Nuara won the first set against Markovich, 6-4, before falling, 6-0, 10-2, in the final to sets at No. 6. John Hughes (Springfield, Mass.) also had a respectable performance, falling 7-6, 6-3, at No. 1.
The second-seeded Bobcats now move on to face No. 7 Saint Francis (Pa.), Friday, not before 11 a.m., at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.
