
Hofstra Defeats Women's Tennis, 5-2

HAMDEN, Conn. Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.) was a double-winner, but the Quinnipiac women's tennis team was defeated, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at the Quinnipiac Outdoor Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 4-6, while the Pride improves to 7-7.
Adams paired with Kasey Rosenberger to defeat Morganne Downing and Valerie McDonald at No. 3 doubles before defeating Downing in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.) also defeated Lauren Clifton, 6-4, 6-2, in No. 2 singles. Clifton had been unbeaten this Spring, through seven matches.
The Bobcats return to action Wednesday, when they play host to Army. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
