Vitelli joined Mason Poli's coaching staff prior to the start of the 2026 season.
The four-year Bobcat won 490 face-offs during his collegiate career as a player, becoming the first men’s lacrosse student-athlete to earn the MAAC Face-Off Specialist of the Year award three seasons in a row. He won the major league honor in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
Vitelli helped guide Quinnipiac back to the postseason in 2026. The Bobcats went 4-4 in league play to earn the No. 5 seed in the postseason tournament. 5 different student-athletes earned All-MAAC recognition, highlighted by goalie Evan Miner earning a spot on the All-MAAC First Team. Nate Watson, Joe Konesco, and Tommy Andruzzi earned All-MAAC Second Team status, and first-year Bobcat Duncan Zielke was selected to the All-Rookie squad.
