Sean O'Brien enters his third season as an Assistant Coach under Eric Da Costa. O'Brien, an SCSU men's soccer alumni, previously spent five seasons at his alma mater.
He has also been the Head Coach of Beachside Soccer Club since 2018. Prior to that he coached at Notre Dame High School and Everson Soccer Academy.
As a player at SCSU, O'Brien served as a three-year captain and led the team to an NCAA Div. 2 Elite Eight birth in 2006, and an NE-10 Conference championship in 2007. After SCSU he played professionally for SC Hartenfels Torgau 04 e.v. and Elm City Express. While with Elm City Express he served as team captain and led them to a NPSL National Championship in 2017.
