Jeff Robinson will enter his fifth season on Quinnipiac’s staff in 2026-27. He took over Director of Operations duties for Quinnipiac ahead of the 2022-23 season, and was promoted to Assistant Coach ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
He is an experienced NCAA Division I and Division III coach with extensive recruiting success. Robinson has helped guide Quinnipiac to back-to-back MAAC regular season titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Since becoming an assistant coach on Tom Pecora’s staff, Robinson has helped lead QU to a 63-36 overall record – and a 42-18 mark in league play.
Quinnipiac set a new program record for wins (24) during the benchmark 2023-24 season, as the Bobcats went 15-5 in league play to capture the program’s first-ever MAAC Regular Season Championship. The Bobcats set a new program record for total points (2,630) during that season. QU's 19-4 start over their first 23 games marked the program's best start to a year since the 1965-66 campaign. Quinnipiac won 10 consecutive games from Jan. 5 – Feb. 8. The Bobcats finished the month of January with a 7-0 record, marking the first perfect month in the university's Division I history.
Quinnipiac went 15-5 in MAAC play once again in 2024-25, capturing the program’s second consecutive MAAC Regular Season Championship. The Bobcats reached 20 total wins for the second consecutive year. QU went 12-2 at home during 2024-25.
2025-26 marked more success for the Bobcats, as the program posted a 19-13 overall mark. Quinnipiac went 12-8 in league play to earn the No. 4 seed in the postseason conference tournament.
Prior to Quinnipiac, he served as the Full-Time Assistant Coach / Director of Recruiting at Worcester Polytechic Institute (WPI) from 2018 – 2022.
WPI went 27-3 in the 2021-22 season, earning a NEWMAC Regular Season and Tournament title and advancing to the programs first ever Elite Eight. Over his four years on staff, Robinson helped recruit two All-Americans, three All-NEWMAC Selections – including the 2022 D3Hoops.com National Rookie of the Year and the 2020 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year.
Prior to returning to his Alma Mater, Robinson served as an assistant at Assumption College (2017-2018) and Widener University (2015-2017).
As a student-athlete, Robinson was the 2010-11 NEWMAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Year, as well as a repeat All-NEWMAC selection, and back-to-back D3hoops.com All-Region honoree. He also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District honors and a pair of department awards and was inducted into the WPI Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.
In his three seasons, the Engineers posted a 64-19 record with a pair of NEWMAC regular season titles and NCAA second round appearances.
Robinson resides in Hamden with his wife, Lexy, and his daughters, Tate and Marlo.
