Jed Parker was named the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance in November 2022. Parker comes to Quinnipiac from the University of Hartford, where he held the position of Director of Compliance since 2021.
Parker will help oversee the department’s compliance efforts within conference and NCAA rules and regulations. He will also coordinate a comprehensive rules education program for coaches, staff and student-athletes with an emphasis on newly adopted legislation, primarily with NIL’s.
Parker joined Hartford in 2021 as the Director of Compliance and held that position for a year before departing the university. At Hartford, he was responsible for the complete oversight of the university’s Div. I compliance systems and programs. While at Hartford, Parker was responsible for oversight of Hartford’s application and transitionary process from NCAA DI to NCAA DIII. He also implemented comprehensive rules education programs for both NCAA DI and NCAA DIII legislation.
Prior to leaving Hartford, he also served as primary Athletics liaison with the university’s Office of Financial Aid, Office of Student Conduct and Title IX Office.
After a three-year collegiate career as a member of the golf team, Parker graduated from Keystone College in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation management. Prior to graduating, Parker was the recipient of the School of Professional Studies Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Field of Sports & Recreation Management.
He then completed his master’s in sports management from Niagara University in 2020, where he was a graduate assistant with the Purple Eagles’ Athletics Department focusing on Compliance and Operations.
