Alex Whitman joined the Quinnipiac Athletics staff in October of 2023. He currently serves as Head Equipment Manager for the Bobcats.
Prior to his time at QU, Whitman worked on the equipment staff at Grand Canyon University. He served as Assistant Equipment Manager from October 2022 – July 2023, then was promoted to Head Equipment Manager in July.
While he was at Grand Canyon, Whitman oversaw the purchasing, inventory, distribution, and maintenance of all athletic equipment. He also collaborated with Canyon Promotions to improve athletic apparel within the GCU standards, coordinated day-to-day operations of the equipment room, distributed and collected equipment and supplies, and maintained an accurate athletic inventory for the department.
Whitman also worked as a student equipment manager while attending Western Michigan University, tending to day-to-day items for the hockey program.
He earned his associate’s degree in business administration from Grand Rapids Community College in 2019, then graduated from Western Michigan University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in personal financial planning.
