Morris has helped guide Quinnipiac to back-to-back MAAC regular season titles since taking over as Associate Head Coach. The Bobcats went 15-5 in league play during 2023-24, then followed up with another 15-5 MAAC record in 2024-25.
Morris helped lead Quinnipiac to a record-breaking 2023-24 campaign, as the Bobcats set a new record for total wins (24) and won their first-ever regular season MAAC title. QU's 19-4 start over their first 23 games marked the program's best start to a year since the 1965-66 campaign. Morris helped pioneer a Quinnipiac offense that set a new record for total points (2,630).
Quinnipiac went 15-5 in MAAC play once again in 2024-25, capturing the program’s second consecutive MAAC Regular Season Championship. The Bobcats went 20-13 in total, and QU went 12-2 at home during 2024-25.

Quinnipiac has won 130 total games during his time on staff, tallying double-digit win totals in seven of eight seasons.
Morris was recently recognized by Silver Wave Media, earning a spot as one of the Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistant Coaches.
Prior to Quinnipiac
Morris joined the coaching staff at Quinnipiac in 2017-18 after serving on the staff for six years at Boston University under Head Coach Joe Jones. Morris joined as an assistant in 2011 and was promoted to the associate head coach position in 2014.
During his time with the Terriers, Morris helped guide his teams to three postseason berths, the 2016 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT), the 2014 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) and the 2013 CIT.
In 2013-14, Morris helped the Terriers earn their first regular season league championship captured their first conference regular season title in 10 years, while finishing with 24 wins, the second-highest total in program history. That season, Boston University also hosted Big Ten member Illinois on ESPN2 to open the NIT.
Prior to joining the staff at Boston University, Morris spent the previous two years at Division III powerhouse Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., where he was an assistant for current Marist head coach Mike Maker. The Ephs reached the NCAA Division III Final Four both years, including a runner-up finish in 2010.
Before joining Maker's staff, Morris spent four seasons at Towson. He joined the staff as a volunteer assistant in 2005, and then moved to director of basketball operations for the 2006-07 season before earning a promotion to assistant coach before the start of the 2008-09 campaign.
As a collegiate player, Morris helped lead Lycoming to a 53-27 record that included a MAC Freedom Conference championship and a trip to the 2004 NCAA tournament. He finished as the Warriors' all-time career assist leader with 355.
Morris resides in Hamden with his wife, Laura, his two sons, Benton and Camden, and his daughter, Averie.
