Marie Kashuba will enter her third year as an assistant on Mary Ann Powers’ staff with the acrobatics and tumbling team. Kashuba previously assisted Powers from 2004-2010 as an assistant on the competitive cheerleading squad at Quinnipiac. She brings a wealth of experience as a former head varsity cheerleading coach at the University of New Haven (1990-1996).
Before her first stint at Quinnipiac, Kashuba was the head cheerleading coach at Ansonia High School from 1997-2005. She went back to coach high school after Quinnipiac in 2007 at Oxford. Kashuba ended her time at Oxford in 2013, but not before earning the 2011 CHSCA Award as Outstanding Coach of the Year in Cheerleading.
Prior to coaching, she served as the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad at the University of Connecticut where she graduated with a bachelors in 1989. Kashuba went on to receive her M.B.A at the University of New Haven in 1995.
