Student-athletes have the opportunity to receive compensation from third parties using their personal brand, often referred to as their name, image and likeness. The NCAA fully supports these opportunities for student-athletes across all three divisions.
How do student-athletes benefit from NIL?
Athletes can benefit from NIL by endorsing products, signing sponsorship deals, engaging in commercial opportunities and monetizing their social media presence, among other avenues. .
What are the regulations surrounding NIL?
NCAA rules allow athletes to receive compensation for use of their NIL; however, NIL activities may not be used to compensate an athlete for athletics participation or achievement (i.e., pay-for-play). Regulations surrounding NIL also vary by jurisdiction and organization. Some state governments and schools have implemented rules allowing athletes to profit from their NIL, while others have restrictions or are in the process of developing policies
How do NIL rights affect student-athletes?
NIL rights empower college athletes to earn income from business ventures and personal brand while still in school. This can provide financial support, enhance their marketability and foster entrepreneurial opportunities.

Every QU student-athlete can create a profile on the marketplace, which they can customize and promote to fans on their personal social media platforms. Bobcats student-athletes will have the ability to review opportunities and agree to deals that will allow them to capitalize on their name, image and likeness.
Now, Quinnipiac fans, brands, sponsors and donors can browse, book, pitch and pay any Quinnipiac student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the athletes' needs.

QU ATHLETICS LAUNCHES OFFICIAL NIL COLLECTIVE: BOBCAT BLITZ
Bobcat Blitz serves as a support and facilitating system for QU in the new NIL era so that current student-athletes can be compensated for the use of their name, image, and likeness. Bobcat Blitz was formed to handle contributions from alumni and fans and provide a platform for NIL opportunities for QU student-athletes. Currently, 100% of your contribution to Bobcat Blitz will go to NIL opportunities for current QU student-athletes.

TEAMWORKS NCAA NIL RESOURCE CENTER
The mobile-friendly, web-based platform — available to member schools, student-athletes and their families — includes:
A voluntary registry where agents and other interested professional service providers can submit information about their offerings and seek potential student-athlete clients.
A "rate your experience" tool so student-athletes can share reviews of those same service providers, so other student-athletes can feel informed before entering into agreements with them.
A simple process by which NCAA schools can submit NIL disclosure data.
Aggregated data with identifying information removed and trends about NIL agreements, including the ability to sort by subdivision, conference, sport and player position.
Access to educational programming related to NIL, including resources about NCAA rules, tax implications and intellectual property.
