Bleier Named NEC Offensive Player of the Week

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac field hockey forward Ava Bleier was named the NEC Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, September 15th.

Bleier delivered a clutch performance in Quinnipiac's OT victory over Hofstra, scoring the game-winning goal with just 41 seconds remaining in the extra period. The senior has now recorded goals in back-to-back games for the first time in her career.

Rozemarijn Van Keulen joins Bleier as a NEC Prime Performer. Van Keulen also played a key role in Quinnipiac's win, scoring the game-tying goal against Hofstra. Since returning to the lineup, the sophomore has recorded a point in each of her three appearances, totaling two goals and one assist.

Van Keulen leads the Bobcats with five points this season and ranks first in the NEC in goals per game (1.67) and third in points.
