
Eschoyez Scores Hat Trick, Bobcats Take Down Merrimack

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac field hockey team dominated Merrimack 8-0 on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.
Sophomore Francisca Eschoyez scored a hat trick for the Bobcats to lead them to their victory, her second three-goal performance in as many years as a Bobcat. She also broke the program's single-game points record with nine on the day.
The Bobcats had their best quarter in the first, scoring three goals. The first one within the first minute of the game as Eschoyez scored to get the Bobcats on the board. Mo Quaile scored the second goal in the 10th minute of the contest, off an assist from Lucia Donati. Mo Quaile struck again just a minute later to give the Bobcats the 3-0 lead, and Eschoyez assisted the goal.

Eschoyez had the first goal of the second quarter, then added another assist, as she helped on Ava Bleier's goal to give the Bobcats the 5-0 lead to go into halftime.

Rozemarijn Van Keulen scored the lone goal for the Bobcats in the third quarter, which was assisted by Mo Quaile.
Eschoyez earned her hat trick in the final quarter, which came from Cameron Brower. Van Keulen topped it off for the Bobcats, giving them the 8-0 victory.

Quinnipiac field hockey will travel to Norfolk, Virginia to face Old Dominion University for their second Big East conference game, Friday at 3:00 PM.
