First-Year Delilah Staberg Scores 3 Times in Win

BROOKVILLE, NY – Quinnipiac Rugby put up 65 points on Saturday afternoon on the road at LIU, routing the Sharks to improve to 2-1 on the 2025 season.

Delilah Staberg scored three tries to pace the Bobcats' offensive attack. Layla Cox, Reagan Perez and Anna Wright all chipped in with a pair of tries, while Gabrielle Appiah scored once as well.

NOTES

65 points is the most for Quinnipiac in a single contest since Oct. 21, 2023 when the Bobcats defeated AIC 80-0 in Hamden.
The Bobcats built an early 12-0 lead on early scores from Layla Cox and Reagan Perez.
QU took a 31-14 lead into the break, then extended the advantage with three quick scores to begin the second half (tries from Cox, R. Perez & Wright).
Delilah Staberg scored the first three tries of her collegiate career in the win for the Bobcats. She found the try zone twice in the first half to help QU build its lead.
Layla Cox registered a pair of tries for the second consecutive week. She's up to four tries through just three games this fall.
Reagan Perez and Anna Wright both scored their first two tries of the season.
Gabrielle Appiah now has a two-game scoring streak.
