Bobcats Cruise Past Rider, Advance to MAAC Semifinals

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Quinnipiac men's basketball cruised past Rider on Wednesday evening in the quarterfinal round of the MAAC Championships, earning a 78-64 victory at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
The top-seeded Bobcats will now advance to the semifinal round of the postseason conference tournament for the second consecutive year. Quinnipiac will square off with the winner of Iona and Manhattan on Friday night (6:00 PM on ESPNews/+).
MAAC Player of the Year Amarri Monroe led the Bobcats with 23 points (7-15 FG). Savion Lewis added 14 points and 4 assists, while Khaden Bennett scored 13 points to go along with 6 rebounds.
QU advances to the semifinal round of the MAAC Tournament for the fifth time since joining the league. The Bobcats also advanced to the league semifinals in 2013-14, 2017-18, 2021-22 and 2023-24.
