Bobcats Move to 6-1 in MAAC
HAMDEN, Conn. – Both Paul Otieno and Amarri Monroe recorded double-doubles once again for the Bobcats, as Quinnipiac Men's Basketball earned another MAAC win over Merrimack on Thursday night at M&T Bank Arena.
Otieno led the Bobcats with 22 points and 13 rebounds (9-11 FG), and Monroe posted 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead QU to its sixth league victory of the season. Alexis Reyes also stuffed the stat sheet with 7 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Bobcats outrebounded Merrimack 45-25 in total, and QU held 26-7 advantage in second-chance points. QU led for 36+ minutes of action.
Quinnipiac led 41-34 at the break, then opened up the second half on an 11-1 run over the first 3:57 to extend the lead further.

- 81 points is QU's second-highest scoring output of the year. The Bobcats scored 83 points in a home MAAC win over Sacred Heart.
- Paul Otieno impressed once again for the Bobcats, posting his ninth double-double of the season. The big man recorded 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the win, shooting 9-of-11 from the field. Otieno leads the MAAC in rebounding, in blocked shots, and in field goal percentage. He grabbed nine rebounds in the first half alone.
- Amarri Monroe went for his fifth double-double of the year, as well. He scored 21 points to go along with 11 rebounds and four assists. The Preseason MAAC Player of the Year has six 20+ point efforts in 2024-25.
- Alexis Reyes set a season-high mark in both rebounds (10) and assists (5) in the win. Reyes added seven points, playing 36 minutes (also a season-best total).
- Jaden Zimmerman chipped in with 12 points, while Khaden Bennett added 10 points and five assists.
- The Bobcats outrebounded Merrimack 45-25 in total, and QU held 26-7 advantage in second-chance points. QU led for 36:10 in total.
