QU Ties Defending National Champs in Friday Night Thriller

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a battle to the wire on Friday night, the Quinnipiac University women's rugby team drew defending national champion Harvard 20-20, ending the Crimson's 10-match winning streak.
Three different Bobcats found the try zone, with Kat Storey giving Quinnipiac the lead with 11:30 to go before the host Crimson knotted the game in its dying stages to ensure shared spoils.

The teams alternated scores in the first half, as Layla Cox answered the Harvard opening score to knot the game at five.
After Harvard regained, the lead, Lucy Lamborn tied the game at 10 and the conversion added two to give the visiting Bobcats a 12-10 advantage.
Ní Bhraonáin added a penalty conversion to give the Bobcats a 15-10 lead at the halftime break.
Kat Storey ended the scoring for the Bobcats, putting them up with 14:30 remaining.
Harvard would score in added time at the end of the half to knot the game but failed to convert on two tries at the conversion, ending the night in a 20-all tie.
