QU Begins 2024 Campaign, Battles to Tie at Brown

PROVIDENCE, RI – Quinnipiac Women's Rugby battled to a 17-17 tie at Brown in the 2024 season opener on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Kelsey Thomas, Kat Storey, and Ava O'Malley each found the try zone for the Bobcats in the season opener. O'Malley's try is her first career score at QU. Fódhla Ní Bhraonáin added a successful conversion attempt in the season opener.

Kelsey Thomas got the Bobcats on the board first just over 28 minutes into action. Kat Storey made a nice pass to Thomas for the Bobcats first scoring play of the 2024 campaign. Fódhla Ní Bhraonáin knocked in the conversion attempt to make it 7-0 QU.
Kat Storey then scampered down the left sideline to find the try zone and extend Quinnipiac's advantage to 12-0 in the 39th minute.
First-year Ava O'Malley scored the Bobcats' third try of the day just after Brown took the lead. O'Malley scored at 59:10 to even things 17-17.
