
Incoming Defenseman Groenewold Selected by Boston in NHL Draft

Vermont native selected in fourth round with 110th overall pick
LAS VEGAS — Incoming defenseman Elliott Groenewold became the second member of the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program's incoming first year class to be an NHL Draft pick on Saturday afternoon, as the was selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
He is the second member of the Bobcats' incoming first-year class who are Bruins draft picks, joining forward Chris Pelosi, who was a third round selection in the 2023 draft.
The Springfield, Vt., native earned USHL All-Rookie Second Team honors last season, playing with the USHL's Cedar Rapids RoughRiders after totaling 16 points in 57 contests. The defenseman was also a bronze medalist at the World Junior A Challenge, playing all six games with Team USA.
