HAMDEN, Conn. – Bobcat Blitz has been named an official Name, Image and Likeness ("NIL") donor-based collective designed to empower Quinnipiac University student-athletes through NIL opportunities and support.
While not directly affiliated with Quinnipiac University Athletics, the mission of Bobcat Blitz is to facilitate NIL partnerships between Quinnipiac student-athletes, charities, non-profits, business owners and the local community.
"Bobcat Blitz is proud to be an official collective of the university and we have already received fantastic support from the local community. We were founded by alumni and the local community, and our Board of Directors fundamentally believes that a thriving ecosystem of athletic programs at Quinnipiac University benefits everyone locally," Bobcat Blitz Co-Founder, CFO of First County Bank John Bonora said.
"We're excited to announce Bobcat Blitz as the official NIL collective for Quinnipiac Athletics. We're grateful to the entire Bobcat Blitz organization for the opportunities they will provide to our student-athletes to engage in meaningful NIL conversations that also benefit our community. This is a critical step forward in order to position our department to maximize name, image and likeness opportunities for our student-athletes, and I strongly encourage Bobcat Nation to help support this important initiative," said Greg Amodio, Quinnipiac Director of Athletics
Unlike other donor-based collectives that have a singular focus on a university's marque team, Bobcat Blitz is committed to a long-term goal of inclusivity for all men's and women's athletic programs at Quinnipiac University. The collective is positioned to receive contributions from alumni and community-oriented supporters to assist QU student-athletes with NIL opportunities. Supporting Bobcat Blitz benefits Quinnipiac student-athletes in their pursuit of athletic and academic excellence. The collective is using targeted events to support operating expenses which currently allows 100% of contributions to go directly to student-athletes for NIL activities. The collective's official launch party will be hosted at Haven Beer Company on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 6 – 8 PM. Tickets and corporate sponsorships can be purchased at: https://bobcatblitz.com/liftoff%3A-launch-party-1
