Bobcats Host Bryant in Annual PanCan Game

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program returns home on Saturday, taking on Bryant for a Noon first draw at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.
The Bobcats are hosting their annual PanCan game, raising money and awareness for those who have been affected by pancreatic cancer. The team will be wearing purple on Saturday and is raising money here.
THE MATCHUP
Teams: Quinnipiac (0-4, 0-0 MAAC) vs. Bryant (4-3, 0-0 America East)

LAST TIME OUT
The Bobcats started fast at a rainy Monmouth on March 2, scoring six of the game's first eight goals but the hosts would rally back for a 12-7 victory. Liza Bailey and EllaGrace Delmond each scored a pair of goals, while Mia Delmond added a two-point day with two ground balls.
Corinna Lyon, Melissa Murphy and Abby Wise led the Bobcats on the ground with three pickups each and Murphy added four draw controls.
IN THE RANKINGS: Quinnipiac
The Bobcats currently sit third in the MAAC and 23rd nationally in fewest turnovers, coughing the ball up just 13 times per contest. They are also fourth in the league in ground balls per game (18.25) and fifth in caused turnovers per contest (8.50).
EllaGrace Delmond and Angelina Sparacio currently lead the MAAC in free-position percentage (.750) and Melissa Murphy is second in the league and 15th nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.25).
THE MATCHUP vs. Bryant
The Bulldogs have won each of the last four meetings in a series dating back to 2009, including last year's 13-12 overtime thriller in Hamden. Quinnipiac erased a five-goal deficit in the second quarter, coming back to tie it on Amy Nicoloff's third goal of the game with 34 seconds left.
Quinnipiac had a chance to win it at the end of regulation but could not convert and Bryant took the opening draw down and scored to take the contest. Mia Delmond added two goals in the game as well.
