Quinnipiac earns first win at Lynah Rink since 2018
ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 18 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey program earned its first win at Lynah Rink since 2018, knocking off the No. 7/8 Cornell Big Red 3-1 on Friday night in Ithaca.
Chris Pelosi scored the game-winner as the Bobcats connected in the offensive zone on consecutive passes before the first-year forward beat Cornell netminder Ian Shane high to the glove side at the 8:11 mark of the third.
Mason Marcellus added the empty-net icing on the cake as the Bobcats snapped a four-game skid in Ithaca to earn their third consecutive victory.
Quinnipiac started the scoring on the man-advantage, with Aaron Bohlinger scoring from the slot at the 7:45 mark of the first.
Dylan Silverstein made 15 saves on 16 shots on his net.

The Bobcats head to Hamilton on Saturday night, taking on Colgate at 7 p.m.

- Cornell's 16 shots on net were the second-fewest by a Bobcat opponent this season, three higher than Dartmouth's total on Dec. 8.
