HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball dropped a tight league contest, 72-70, vs. Manhattan on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena.

Matt Balanc recorded 19 points and four rebounds to lead the Bobcats, while Tyrese Williams chipped in with 14 points and Dezi Jones added 13 points.

QU outscored the Jaspers 40-26 in the first half, the Manhattan outscored the Bobcats 46-30 in the second half.

The Bobcats move to 19-10 (10-8 MAAC) in 2022-23 with the result.

Matt Balanc led Quinnipiac with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He's averaging 11.7 points per game, and has tallied double-digit scoring numbers in four consecutive games.
Tyrese Williams poured in 14 points, going 4-for-7 from the 3-point line. Williams made three triples in the first half of play.

Manhattan outscored QU in the second half 46-30, including a 14-0 run in the middle of the second half.

Quinnipiac will then head to Atlantic City to compete in the MAAC Championships at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
