NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Quinnipiac men's basketball dropped a road MAAC contest, 79-73, on Friday night at the Gallagher Center vs. Niagara.

The Bobcats move to 17-8 (8-6 MAAC) with the loss. Luis Kortright led Quinnipiac with a season-high 25 points – which also matches his career-best mark.

NOTES

Luis Kortright led QU with 25 points – which matches a career high mark. He shot 10-of-25 from the floor and grabbed five rebounds for the Bobcats.
Ike Nweke posted 13 points and eight rebounds, shooting 6-for-13 from the field.
Tyrese Williams chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
Matt Balanc added seven points and 11 rebounds. He played a team-high 39 minutes.
Paul Otieno recorded six points and nine rebounds.
With the win, Niagara sweeps the season series vs. QU. The Purple Eagles have taken each of the last three games, and five of the last seven meetings.
The Bobcats led 35-25 at the break, then Niagara outscored QU 36-26 in the second half to force OT.
Noah Thomasson led the Purple Eagles with 21 points.

Quinnipiac wraps up the trip to Western New York on Sunday (Feb. 12), facing Canisius at 1:00 PM from Koessler Athletic Center.
The Bobcats return home on Sunday, Feb. 19, hosting Rider at M&T Bank Arena.
